Valentino's latest collection, under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele, marks a new era for the fashion house. Michele, renowned for his maximalist and bohemian influences, seamlessly blends these elements with Valentino's legacy of refined craftsmanship. This fusion is particularly evident in the collection's accessories, which include bags, shoes, belts, and hats embodying both innovation and tradition.


 

Bags: The Nellcôte Tote


A standout piece is the Nellcôte tote, a brown suede bag adorned with silver rivets and metallic studs, reflecting a Western-meets-boho aesthetic. Model Bella Hadid was recently seen in New York carrying this tote, pairing it with high-waisted bootcut jeans, an oversized leather belt with triangular cutouts, and cowboy boots, epitomizing the bag's versatile appeal. 



Belts: VLogo Signature Series


Valentino's belt collection introduces the VLogo Signature series, crafted from shiny calfskin, available in various widths. These belts feature the iconic VLogo buckle, with some designs embellished with crystals for added opulence. The reversible options offer versatility, allowing wearers to coordinate effortlessly with different outfits.



Hats: Statement Headwear


Michele's penchant for dramatic headwear is evident in the collection's wide feathered hats and rigid wool turbans. These pieces add a theatrical flair to ensembles, reminiscent of vintage glamour while remaining contemporary. The rigid wool turban, for instance, is available in multiple colours and serves as a bold accessory for the fashion-forward.

Valentino's latest collection under Alessandro Michele introduces a captivating array of footwear that seamlessly blends the house's iconic VLogo with intricate embellishments, reflecting Michele's signature maximalist aesthetic.


VLogo Signature Slingback Pumps


The VLogo Signature Slingback Pumps are a highlight of the collection, featuring an elegant pointed-toe design adorned with the distinctive VLogo emblem. Crafted from luxurious materials such as patent leather and laminated nappa leather, these pumps are available in various heel heights. Select styles showcase exquisite details like crochet embroidery and metallic finishes.



VLogo Signature Slide Sandals


For a more relaxed yet sophisticated look, the VLogo Signature Slide Sandals offer a perfect blend of comfort and style. These sandals feature the prominent VLogo embellishment and come in an array of summery colors and materials. Heel heights range from 20mm to 60mm, catering to diverse preferences. Some designs also incorporate unique elements like crochet embroidery, enhancing their visual appeal.



Valet du Roi Slingback Ballerinas and Pumps


Introducing a nostalgic narrative, the Valet du Roi series presents classic slingback silhouettes accented by the VLogo Signature and delicate tassel knots. The collection includes both ballerina flats with a modest 25mm heel and pumps with a 60mm heel, all crafted from premium kid leather, offering timeless elegance suitable for various occasions.




VLogo Bold 20 Embellished Patent-Leather Pumps


Debuted on the Spring ’24 runway, the VLogo Bold 20 pumps are crafted from glossy patent leather and feature elongated pointed toes adorned with polished gold-tone VLogo embellishments. Resting on a comfortable 20mm heel, these slingback pumps are versatile additions to any wardrobe, in a variety of delicious colours. My favourite being ROSE CANNELLE.



VLogo Logo-Embellished Leather Loafers


For those seeking a blend of classic and contemporary, the VLogo Logo-Embellished Leather Loafers offer a sophisticated option. Crafted from supple Italian leather, these loafers prominently feature the gold-toned VLogo emblem, paying homage to Valentino's rich heritage while providing a chic choice for everyday wear. I am certainly a heels girl, so these are not for me. But a great option to have.


 

Alessandro Michele's inaugural collection for Valentino signifies a harmonious blend of the brand's storied heritage with his distinctive aesthetic. The accessories, in particular, showcase this synergy, offering pieces that are both timeless and contemporary, poised to become coveted items in the fashion connosaire's wardrobe.
